About us
JAGTN is an affiliate of Jobs for America’s Graduates (JAG) and is a non-profit organization. Jobs for Tennessee Graduates is one of JAG’s longest serving affiliates, launched in 1981 under Governor Lamar Alexander. It was exclusively state funded until 2013. Since then, diverse funding sources (school districts, private businesses, and regional nonprofits) have allowed JAGTN to thrive in 31 schools in 20 counties throughout Tennessee. In 2014, JAGTN was approved as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, which includes a high level board of directors. The mission of JAG Tennessee (formerly Jobs For Tennessee Graduates JTG) is to guide this generation of students, empowering them with the essential skills to excel in employability, education, and life.

What a great idea for a community service project! A good time was had at the Ripley High School JAGTN Kiddy Carnival for Pre-K through 5th graders. Over 120 kids played games, won prizes, and participated in a variety of competitions at the hands of Ripley High School students. In essence, the local kids had a ball, RHS students were able to complete their TN Promise community service hours, and the JAGTN students learned the mechanics of executing a successful event.
