A study of >2 million DNA variants in individuals referred for clinical genetic testing shows high stability of variant classifications, exceeding certainty thresholds set by ACMG/AMP guidelines. This study illustrates the power of machine learning to reclassify uncertain results. Join us at booth #650 at ASHG to learn how we’re transforming variant classification. https://invit.ae/3YDip9l #ASHG #VUSReclassification Invitae is now part of #Labcorp.

As far as Sarah knew, breast cancer didn’t run in her family. The results of one genetic test changed everything: Sarah was positive for BRCA1, which significantly increases her lifetime risk of developing breast and ovarian cancer. “Once I found out I had BRCA1, I just decided,” Sarah says. “I have a chance to do something...to reduce all these chances of having cancer.” Read more about Sarah’s decisions to take preventive measures: https://invit.ae/3tstTi1

Amanda knew she had a family history of breast cancer, so she proactively sought hereditary cancer genetic testing. When the test identified a BRCA2 variant, which increases her risk for #breastcancer, she took the news in stride. “I’m not too worried about my future,” she said. “Getting [genetic testing] helped because now we have a plan and we understand it better.” Watch Amanda’s genetic testing journey here: https://invit.ae/4h2nKPL #BCAM
