Given this, it is perhaps no surprise that athletes from high-income countries are more likely to participate and win medals at the #Paralympics, particularly in the events that require assistive products.” “This inequity presents an imperative for increased access to assistive products in low-and middle-income countries to ensure a level playing field for all competitors.”

ISWP missed celebrating National Accessible Air Travel Day on August 20th, which All Wheels Up established in 2022. They however are continuing their social media challenge throughout August to raise awareness about the need for accessible air travel for people with disabilities. They invite you to join in by posting a video or picture of yourself wearing orange and sharing what accessible air travel means to you. Be sure to use the hashtag #NationalAccessibleAirTravelDay and tag three friends to take on the challenge as well. If you’re traveling in August, we’d especially love to see a photo of you at the airport or on the plane!
