Andrea Marvan Saltiel, Chair of the Mexican Federal Economic Competition Commission (Cofece), has been newly appointed as one of two ICN Steering Group Vice Chairs at the ICN Annual Conference in Brazil in May 2024 alongside Lina Khan, Chair of the US FTC. In this capacity, Andrea will focus on emerging competition issues. Great pleasure to exchange views at the International Competition Network (ICN) Annual Conference with expert panellists, Nick Wilkins from New Zealand Commerce Commission, Olivier Guersent from European Commission, Susana Campuzano Fernández from CNMC of Spain and other fellow competition authorities, on the use of intelligence on cartel detection and investigation. Shared Hong Kong Competition Commission's proactive engagements and collaborations with other law enforcement agencies and public procurers bringing immense benefits to its intelligence gathering and enforcement work. Big congratulations to my Corporate Communications colleagues at HKCC on their excellent work on the TV docudrama series which just won the World Bank-ICN Competition Advocacy Award!
