With 2019 about to come to a close, InterFaith Works is continuing to affirm the dignity of each person and every faith community as we approach the new year. Whether we are working with New Americans, teens in our high schools, isolated elders, or diverse faith communities, we remain steadfast in our mission. More than 10,000 people are reached annually through our community events and four main programs—the El-Hindi Center for Dialogue, Center for New Americans, Interfaith Initiatives and Senior Services. We are continuing our current programs and adding many new ones in the coming year. Yet, none of our work is possible without your help. Would you, your company or organization consider making a year-end gift to InterFaith Works, so we can build on the work we started back in 1976? For more information on how to give, contact Denise Robertson, Director of Development, at 315-449-3552, ext. 120 or email [email protected]. Words can never be enough to express how delighted we were yesterday to have the New York State Department of Labor's Team on our premises at InterFaith Works of CNY. We were humbled by your attendance, and we were enamored by your commitment and dedication to the work you do. We believe that every generation must look out for the next generation--and the battle is for the bravest, who, no matter how bumpy the roads may seem, could somehow look at and find inspiration in what was previously done by those who came before us, to develop the courage to move forward. We strongly believe with the support of the New York State Department of State's Office for New Americans' Professional Pathways Program, Upwardly Global, and our new partnership with NYSDOL, we can eventually bring the changes we desire to see in our community in CNY by shifting ineffective systems and processes to meet the rapidly changing needs in the workforce and labor market and making sure that Immigrants, New Americans, and asylees get access to job opportunities and a right to suitable living wages. Special Thanks to Dana Politis for making this happen.
