How qualified are you ? Telling yourself, you’re worthy is the highest form of compliment you can ever receive. Growth happens the moment you realize that you’re your biggest asset. No one cares about your growth or how qualified you are. If you don’t stand for yourself no one will. So break the bond of negativity and embrace positive change.🏅🏅🏆

Happy Juneteenth! Enjoy your day off, but don’t forget to honor and celebrate the reason for it. Not sure why we celebrate Juneteenth or not sure how you can honor the day? Take a look at this great article by Raven Solomon, CSP® for a brief history of the day and some tangible ways you can honor the day and the people it represents. ❤️🖤💚
Juneteenth is here, and if you don't identify as Black or African American, you might be wondering: how can I honor Juneteenth? In our latest edition of The Inclusive Individual Article Series, I outline five ways non-Black people can honor Juneteenth. Big shoutout to Nia Tillett McAdoo for her recent appearance in The DEI ER and for the insights she shared that we captured in this piece. This article is a little over a year old, but it gives great insights into the importance of small businesses in our community 🏘 💵 👩🔧 Since moving to Ithaca I've made a conscious effort to support local small businesses--from my coffee addiction to Christmas gift purchases. I feel better about my spending and usually end up with a far superior product/service than if I had used a large chain store. What are your go-to local small businesses where you live? #supportlocal #smallbusiness #minoritybusinesses #veteranbusinesses #womeninbusiness #communitybuilding #ithacany #intelosity https://lnkd.in/ee6CSy_E

During one of my undergrad classes at Christian Brother's University, I had to read the book "Joy at Work," by Dennis Bakke. I don't remember any of the specifics--though the book still sits on my shelf--but I do remember thinking that I had never associated "joy" and "work" up to that point in my life. Now--with a military career under my belt, a Cornell MBA (almost) on the wall, and two startups rolling, I know that joy at work is essential to individual fulfillment and growth. As a business leader, understanding the relationship between joy and productivity, growth, collaboration, and innovation; and understanding how to cultivate joy in the workplace; can be the difference between a stagnant business and a stellar business. Do you cultivate joy in your workplace? Do you feel joy at work? https://lnkd.in/giJc9v2X

Love these views on leadership: “Buddhist tradition describes three styles of compassionate leadership: the trailblazer, who leads from the front, takes risks, and sets an example; the ferryman, who accompanies those in his care and shapes the ups and downs of the crossing; and the shepherd, who sees every one of his flock into safety before himself. Three styles, three approaches, but what they have in common is an all-encompassing concern for the welfare of those they lead.”

It took until my time in the Cornell MBA program to really understand the role of a coach. It’s all about: -Empowerment -Guidance -Empathy -Vision -Accountability Do you need a coach focused on leadership, strategy, operations, planning, or development? Reach out on LinkedIn or email.
When you coach, you don’t need to be the expert. You don’t need to be the smartest person in the room. And you don’t need to have all the solutions.
