The U.S. Department of Energy’s National Nuclear Security Administration has awarded seven new grants to Minority Serving Institutions as part of the Minority Serving Institution Partnership Program (MSIPP). The Biden-Harris Administration has announced a $70 million investment to expand access to school-based mental health services, building on previous funding efforts. This initiative aims to train and hire approximately 4,000 mental health professionals across the country, particularly in underserved communities. New research shows that dual enrollment programs are helping millions of high school students attend and complete college at higher rates than their peers. However, the report also highlights significant gaps in access and success for low-income, Black, and Hispanic students.
