What an amazing 20+ days with 35 admissions officers throughout 11 cities (with the bonus of attending the 6th annual China Institute of College Admission Counseling (ChinaICAC) conference as well)! Highlights of my Saturday Morning as a University and Career Counselor: - Submitted my second M.Ed Educational Leadership assignment on Resources and Fiscal Management at 2:30 am, demonstrating my commitment to continuous learning and staying up-to-date for the benefit of my students. - Engaged in a rejuvenating yoga and meditation at 6:00 am, prioritizing self-care and mental well-being to bring my best self to my role as an educator and mother. - Attended the InitialView Counselor&AO Breakfast at 8:30 am in Westin, where I had the privilege to advocate for the exceptional students Nanjing International School, our inclusive, international-minded, and creatively-driven learning environment. - Reconnected with IACAC colleagues, Darren DrabekSkidmore College and @Sarah @GeorgeTech, fostering valuable professional relationships and exchanging ideas with like-minded individuals who share a passion for student guidance. - Participated in a dynamic speed dating session with representatives from twenty prestigious U.S. colleges. We shared insights, discussed application trends, and learned from each other's expertise, enhancing our knowledge and supporting our students' college journeys. - Heartfelt appreciation to Tray at Pamona for his exceptional support in the application review process responding to my further inquiries, showcasing the power of collaboration in making a positive impact on our students' lives. What a remarkably fruitful and rewarding morning it has been! I want to express my sincere appreciation to the InitialView team for organizing such an exceptional event.
