The second edition of Iris week at Infosys Thiruvananthapuram, by our DC CSR group Sanjeevani, is a heartwarming display of what can be achieved when people come together with a shared purpose: to make a positive impact on society. The collective efforts of our volunteers made a real difference in the lives of more than 500 direct beneficiaries in the city of Thiruvananthapuram.
Blanket drive: 53 blankets were distributed to patients in General Hospital, to provide warmth and comfort for those in need.
Entertainment: Our volunteers conducted martial arts, storytelling sessions, and games for children at the Little Flower Orphanage in Vettucaid.
Blood donation: About 150 people were benefitted by the blood donation camp conducted at Sree Chitra Institute of Medical Sciences, Thiruvananthapuram (SCT), where 49 units of blood were donated.
Awareness sessions: Education on cyber security, anti-drug, and a mime competition were conducted for students at the BPM English Medium School Mangalapuram, and 257 students participated.
Outing: A memorable outing was organized for children from CMS home, Kananmoola, at Funtura, Lulu Mall, a famous destination in the city.
Dental camp: At Santhwanam Rehabilitation Centre, Puthenthop, benefitting about 52 people.
Cleaning drive: Our volunteers undertook a transformative cleaning drive at General Hospital.
Iris week was more than just a series of events; it was a movement to inspire others to join the cause of #volunteering and make a difference.
