About us

Infirmary Health is the largest non-governmental health care system in the state of Alabama. It serves an 11-county area of south Alabama and north Escambia County, Florida, with 700 active physicians on the medical staff and more than 6,500 employees.     Infirmary Health is offering expanded text messaging capabilities for patients through its electronic health record, Epic. Infirmary Health patients may opt-in to receive text messages, allowing them to receive updates and take action on items related to visits, their MyIHChart account, billing notifications, and more. The new capability is powered by Epic’s Hello World platform. How do Infirmary Health patients enroll to receive text messages? There are three ways a patient may opt-in to receive text messages from Infiramry Health, including taking one of the following actions: ▪️Text START to 98957. ▪️Update your text messaging preferences and notifications under Communication Preferences in MyIHChart. ▪️Ask the front desk when you check in at an Infirmary Health facility. Colin Buckley, MD, general surgeon, joins Infirmary Surgical Specialists. Dr. Buckley will provide a broad range of surgical services including laparoscopic and open procedures, robotic surgery, cholecystectomy, appendectomy, thyroidectomy, colectomy, hernia repair, breast surgery, skin and soft tissue procedures. Dr. Buckley is a graduate of the University of La Verne, La Verne, California, with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He is the recipient of the 2022 Graduate of the Last Decade (GOLD Star) Award, which recognizes alumni who embody the University of La Verne's core values. He earned his doctor of medicine degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Dr. Buckley completed his residency in general surgery with USA Health University Hospital. 🇺🇸 Dr. Buckley is also a veteran of the United States Army where he served on multiple deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. A member of the premier infantry special operations unit, 1st Ranger Battalion, his decorations include the Ranger Tab, Parachutist Badge, Combat Infantryman Badge, and Purple Heart. Infirmary Surgical Specialists has assembled the most comprehensive surgical team in the region encompassing more than 200 years of experience. They have four locations in Mobile and Baldwin County with surgeons specializing in general, breast, bariatric, gastrointestinal, colorectal, robotic, minimally invasive, oncology and endocrine surgery.
