The largest building in the world (at least for the next 6 years): the Boeing Everett Factory just outside of Seattle. It's not the largest by footprint, coming in at "only" 4 million square feet, but when the ultra high ceilings are factored in it equates to roughly 13.7 billion cubic feet (enough to give it the Guiness World Record). But there's a new building currently under construction which will blow past this number. It's called the Mukaab and is being built in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. When completed it will be 1,300' tall (taller than the Empire State Building) but wide enough to hold 20 of them under the same roof! See more: https://lnkd.in/g66-UisT

It's hard to deny Tesla's prowess as a manufacturing powerhouse, and their success in an old factory in Fremont is a testament to how far they've come. From 1982 to 2009 GM and Toyota made about 8 million vehicles out of the plant. Then from 2010 (starting with a limited manufacturing output of ~ 1,500 vehicles at the time) to today Tesla just passed the 7 million mark. https://lnkd.in/dazqKanP

While all attention was on Tesla's Robotaxi event this week, their gigafactory in China passed a huge milestone by producing their 3 millionth car on the same day. Gigafactory Shanghai has only been open for 5 years and it is already closing in on producing 1 million cars per year.
