About us
Incubatenergy® Labs is built for startups to engage EPRI and electric power utilities in paid demonstration projects. A utilities summit and collaborative demonstrations program in one, the program links startup companies leading the advancement of electrification, decarbonization and grid modernization with utilities from around the world that have the capacity and desire to demonstrate and scale those innovations. We structured the program to give you maximum exposure to utilities and ensure that the results of a successful demonstration with one utility turns into opportunities with many. New for 2022, startups now have the possibility of demonstrations in the US, Canada, Europe or South America.

The Elemental Excelerator is taking strides to close the financing gap for emerging technologies. First, in collaboration with Boston Consulting Group (BCG), they began a deep market study into climate financing gaps and how to address them. The team quantified the Scale Gap at $150 billion for emerging technologies. You can read the learnings in their white paper with BCG “Traversing the Climate Technology Scale Gap" found: https://lnkd.in/g6gMXhep Second, to close the financing gap using their investment expertise — Elemental Excelerator took steps to infuse more capital directly into critical projects and push the boundaries of current investment practices. The team worked with audacious philanthropic partners to secure additional funding and innovative pilot approaches. This resulted in the creation of Elemental Excelerator's new funding instrument, the Development SAFE (D-SAFE), through which has already funded eight initial projects! A published summary of work can be found: https://lnkd.in/gu9i5Jyu
