The Improving Aviation team, including Roberto Whitley, Dave Zader, and Rocio Frej Vitalle, returned from a productive week at #CIVTAK24, where we engaged with public safety officers, emergency responders, and other innovators in the field of situational awareness technology.   We gathered insights from our end users and explored new ways to enhance our technologies for real-world applications. Here are some highlights:   🔥 Our interactions with firefighters have led to multiple potential collaborations to obtain video imagery and critical local data to support the development of our Wildfire Risk Management and Ember Spread Model. By utilizing computer vision applications to detect objects of interest, we aim to enhance both the speed and accuracy of detections, automate tasks, and reduce the user’s workload, all while maintaining real-time awareness of personnel. This input will refine our use of heat signatures to improve wildfire spread predictions, ensuring firefighters remain safe and are deployed to the most effective areas.   ✈ Public safety officials underscored the need for enhancing resource management. From lower-cost connectivity solutions to track emergency responders in the ground, to effective airspace management that would enable multiple UAS to operate in close proximity with manned aircraft, while ensuring the highest standards of safety and spatial awareness.   A big thank you to all the end users who provided their insights and to the CIVTAK community for fostering innovation. We’re looking forward to continuing the conversation and pushing the boundaries of situational awareness.   #SituationalAwareness #TAKCommunity #WildfireRiskManagement #DroneTechnology #Innovation #PublicSafety

Where do we start?! Back in May of this year, we were told that Google for Startups wanted to collaborate with Improving Aviation on our AI journey to develop the best-in-class Wildfire Risk Management and Ember Ignition Prediction Tool. Since May, we’ve worked with many different Google teams, such as Google Cloud support, AI experts, Customer Engineers, Google Sales Academy, coaches from around the world, and subject matter experts in fields like cybersecurity. We even have the opportunity to work with Google partners such as Goodie Nation, among other amazing opportunities. In short, in just a few months, this support has incredibly accelerated our development and made a tremendous difference for us, both internally and externally. This week, Rocio Frej Vitalle and Maria Tirado headed to New York, where they had the opportunity to participate in the Google for Startups Founders Summit. Three incredible days of thinking big, learning lots, and gaining new perspectives in the long-term evolution of responsible AI, but the best part were the amazing and genuine connections we made with other startups, founders, and Google team members. The support and camaraderie were inspiring and touching. It will be hard to top this experience! More than ever, we truly relate to Mr. Sundai Pichai words: "AI is probably the most important thing humanity has ever worked on", and we are fully committed to push the limits of AI to create technologies that enable safer and more efficient operations for those on the ground, from wildfire fighters to defense personnel. A couple of special mentions: it was great to meet in person some of our colleagues from the current cohort, as well as other companies we've had the opportunity to engage with over the last few months, including Benchmark Labs Inc. Sortile HacWare, Hire Henry, JustAir, Sensagrate and Bountiful. Check them out—they’re also pushing the limits of AI! 💥 To the Google team—Danny Navarro Kaili Emmrich Yulkendy Valdez (She-Her) Monica Mora, Hannah and to Joey Womack from Goodie Nation, thank you so much for your hospitality over the last couple of days. Thank you for your time, passion, and caring approach. We look forward to seeing you in person and virtually again soon!

Progress takes many forms, and this one makes us incredibly proud of our journey! Both of these images capture the same drive and enthusiasm for innovation, but the one on the right truly showcases how far we've come in refining our technology. Over the past few years, we've built, tested and iterated our field deployable data collection, aggregation and analysis platform. Using a hardware agnostic approach, our tool connects to sensors and vehicles in the field, captures raw data, and converts it into actionable information for those on the field. We are incredibly thankful to Jack Carr. With his help, we've taken our platform to the next level. As of late 2022, our platform required a full sized trailer. Today, we have a compact, ruggedized, portable platform that can be deployed in minutes. With our new process, the entire toolkit can be built from #COTS systems in the matter of hours. We're excited to see how our tool continues to evolve as we continue working for even greater efficiency and perfection. #Innovation #TechnologyEvolution #DataAnalytics #FieldTechnology #Efficiency #HardwareAgnostic #RuggedTech #PortableSolutions

🎥Intern Spotlight: A Summer of Growth and Innovation   This summer, we had the pleasure of working with some incredible talent here at Improving Aviation. Our interns brought fresh perspectives, innovative ideas, and a passion for making a difference. In this short video, Alice reflects on her journey with us and her favorite projects. Alice Silva has been an amazing asset to the team, she joined her internship with us as a Content and Digital Marketing intern but she was much more than that. Her internship was supposed to last until mid July but we couldn't part ways that early with her, which made us extended her internship for 4 more weeks. She has pushed the team outside of their comfort zones, she has helped us with our company branding and making sure that we have a website (check it out!) that truly represent who we are. She also has learned how to fly drones! We are so grateful to Alice for all her contributions and we wish her the best of luck as she goes back to USF to finish her Bachelors! Especially mention to Embarc Collective as a thanks to them, we were able to find Alice and bring her to the team! Thank you Alice for helping us Break barriers and build resilience this summer! #InternshipExperience #ImprovingAviation #SummerInternship #Innovation #AviationSafety #CareerGrowth #TechInAviation
