iMPROve Health

iMPROVe Health and the Michigan Health and Hospitals Association (MHA) Keystone Center held the Governor’s Award of Excellence on September 12. Attendees heard from the two organizations' leadership, Dr. Reneé Branch Canady, Chief Executive Officer at Michigan Public Health Institute, and Dr. Natasha Bagdasarian, Chief Medical Officer for the State of Michigan. Dr. Canady provided the keynote, focusing on health equity and ensuring “room at the table.” Presenters from winning organizations included Grandvue Charlevoix County Medical Care Facility, Henry Ford Macomb-Richmond and Chesterfield Family Medicine, Integrated Health Partners, and MyMichigan Medical Center – Galdwin. These organizations provided insight into how they made great strides in quality improvement. After a video from Governor Gretchen Whitmer, 96 facilities were presented 124 awards for their incredible work improving quality across various measures. Select organizations also won Medals of Ahcievement for their work to advance health equity and person and family engagement. Thank you to the iMPROve Health, MHA Keystone Center, Wisconsin Hospital Association, and Superior Health Quality Alliance teams for making the Governor’s Award of Excellence program and awards ceremony a reality and huge success.

We are proud to announce that iMPROve Health has been selected by Modern Healthcare as one of the top 150 ‘Best Places to Work in Healthcare' for 2024. This is not the first time iMPROve Health has received this prestigious honor, having ranked in 2018, 2021, 2022, and 2023 as well. The Best Places to Work awards program recognizes companies that continuously strive to improve their work environment and increase employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention through innovative changes in the workplace. Modern Healthcare will announce our official ranking at the Best Places to Work awards celebration on Thursday, October 10 in Nashville, TN. 

We are excited to announce a partnership with Everyday Life Consulting, LLC, to place Community Health Workers (CHWs) in the Big Rapids Community Library, Evart Public Library, LeRoy Community Library, and Marion Public Library. As a part of a Michigan Health Endowment Fund grant, CHWs are available to meet with patrons in confidential sessions starting this week.
