Last year, 75 high school students learned professional skills, practiced interviews, and built resumes through our after-school workshops. But these students didn’t just gain new skills—they discovered their strengths and how to communicate them, setting the stage for future success. You'll hear from two students who participated in last year's Career Readiness Academy in this video.

About us
Impact on Education is the Foundation supporting nearly 30,000 students and 4,000 educators of the Boulder Valley School District. Since 1983, we've provided supplemental funding and resources to students and educators in order to expand what's possible in education. Today, our wide-ranging programs adapt to accommodate the shifting needs of our community. We prioritize programs that benefit students overcoming the greatest obstacles by addressing economic and learning barriers that curtail success, increasing equity among our students, and closing opportunity gaps. Impact on Education believes in an equitable future for public education across Boulder Valley School District. We strive to equalize opportunity and bolster academic success among all students regardless of socioeconomic status, race, gender, or class. Through this work, we hope to increase awareness of underserved populations, galvanize community engagement, and create lasting change for the students in our community. Empowering Boulder Valley School District students through our Career Readiness Academy, scholarships, and Grad Plus investments is a crucial part of our work. Support from generous community partners like BPI help make this possible. Thank you to the Bates Philanthropic Initiative for supporting our College and Career Readiness programs!
We are pleased to give a $10,000 grant to BPI's first non-profit partner, Impact on Education to support high school students pursuing an education in a skilled trade. Our donors support Impact's commitment to eliminating the day-to-day barriers that prevent under-resourced students from achieving a meaningful career.
