Preparations are on the way for the groundbreaking this Wednesday for the new 69,000SF Earl Monroe New Renaissance Basketball School in South Bronx. NBA players and leadership will be in attendance. IMC Architecture and ESKW/Architects designed the new school. The five-story building with a cellar will feature state-of-the-art athletic and learning environments, including an 8,000-square foot gymnasium, a library and media production studio, a dedicated broadcast studio with a green screen, a dining/commons room and 27 regular and specialty classrooms. The project team includes developer Pillar Property Management, construction manager JV Construction & Construction and contractor Brisa Builders Corp/ Brisa Builders Development LLC.

Sales continue at a brisk pace at the IMC-designed 262 St. Marks Avenue boutique condominium at the intersection of Brooklyn's popular Prospect Heights and Crown Heights neighborhoods. The 19-unit, 6-story property features numerous tenant amenities, including a lounge/co-working space, fitness center, bike storage, pet spa, outdoor terrace, street-level indoor parking garage and cellar storage units. The facade design reflects and reinterprets local architectural influences, including masonry and brick. The building features several unusual design solutions, including built-in potting boxes on every balcony and a planted canopy wrapping around the building's corner. In addition to IMC, the project team included developer Claysson Marks Realty, interior designer StudioCS, sales agent The Corcoran Group and contractor Royal Builders, structural engineer Christie Engineering, PC, MEP engineer MWB Engineering, lender Popular Bank and financing broker Skyline Capital Group.
