Our next team introduction goes to the Strategy & Telemetry Team! They develop custom programs and applications including our own in-house physics engine to create accurate simulations. This team is especially important during our competitions when determining what our target speed should be. We continue team introductions with the Electrical Team! They create and assemble custom PCBs, write crucial vehicle firmware, and manage systems like our battery and solar array. Next up on team introductions - the Mechanical Team! They design, build, and test many critical components of the car such as the brakes, steering, and suspension. We want to thank Lucid Motors for lending us a Lucid Air to be part of our American Solar Challenge race convoy. With over 500 miles of range, the Lucid Air was our Scout Car. The Air was tasked with finding solar charging spots, obstacles, and camp sites along the race route.
