Yesterday, we welcomed 10 exceptional ICT graduates, handpicked from hundreds of applicants to our ninth internship collaboration with MICT Seta. This partnership is crucial in driving the MICT sector skills development system, paving the way for enhanced economic participation and improved socio-economic conditions. At iLAB, we are committed to staying ahead of the curve by nurturing top talent in the quality assurance industry. Our HR, Training, and Technical Engineering teams meticulously craft our program. It focuses on a blend of formal training, hands-on work experience, and continuous domain development. Mentors, coaches, and supervisors will evaluate interns comprehensively, ensuring growth in both technical and soft skills. Throughout the program, each intern's performance will be assessed quarterly, with feedback provided to both SETA and iLAB Management. This structured approach ensures that every participant not only gains valuable real-world experience but also meets the high standards and expectations set by iLAB. The internship offers invaluable exposure to the world of Software Quality Assurance Testing, equipping interns with the skills and insights needed for a successful career. Since leaving the navy, Peter has been dedicated full-time to the field of SQA. His experience spans various industries, including finance, logistics, insurance, and medical systems. Peter's contributions to the industry are notable. He has authored numerous magazine articles and developed comprehensive testing courses. Notably, he was the first recipient of the prestigious SASTQB Tester of the Year award. He has also initiated testing user groups, fostering a community of learning and growth. Peter is passionate about continuous learning, especially in the ever-evolving field of Software Quality Assurance. He believes in the value of sharing knowledge and learning from others, as everyone has a unique story that can inspire and educate. Group Elephant business iLAB in the US awarded Software Quality Assurance engagement for Public Sector Salesforce implementation.   SQA specialist iLAB is Indiana-based in the US, with other regional operations in Latin America, the APJ region and Southern Africa.    A large state transportation agency in the US has awarded an SQA engagement to iLAB, in support of a Salesforce implementation. The agency currently runs 100-plus applications that are considered ‘critical’, including those that manage essential infrastructure, assets and projects for construction of new transportation-related assets. They plan to dramatically improve integration between systems where appropriate, and to redesign and address associated workflows accordingly.    The agency’s move to Salesforce is aligned with the Federal Highway Administration's ‘Building Information Modeling’ framework, one goal of which is to foster heightened collaboration between ‘siloed’ segments of transportation agencies.    ‘The choice of iLAB is reflective of the agency’s approach to appointing an independent SQA firm for engagements of this nature, size and significance’, said Jethro Lloyd, iLAB CEO. ‘The remit will include strategy, requirements traceability, testing, data migration validation and testing, test automation, training and user adoption, and configuration of Microsoft Azure DevOps for test case management, defect management and reporting’, he added.    For more information, please contact [email protected].
