😐 SCOTUS should NOT be political, but unfortunately for all of us, it has become that. 📣 "IFundWomen is an a-political organization. We don't care if you are on the left, right, or are a green alien; if you need help with funding, we are here for it." Karen Cahn, IFundWomen Founder & CEO. Karen has said these exact words in hundreds of speeches since she started the company, and she means it from her heart and her business brain, which SHOULD go hand in hand at a purpose-driven, for-profit company. 💡IFundWomen also helps men get funding because mixed-gendered cofounder teams perform better. 😩 Ironically, IFW is not fighting for survival because of any discriminatory practices–we're struggling to stay alive because the COMPANY NAME has the word "WOMEN" in it. 💔 We loved our corporate grant partners—they not only enabled $170M in grant funding but also provided coaching grants and marketing support to thousands of our members, taking their businesses from Stage 1 (idea) to Stage 5 (product-market-fit). We do not blame them for staying out of the political fray. We wish we were not in the fray either. #standwithifundwomen and please support our survival and rebrand with any amount you can: https://lnkd.in/eBKQzbu4 💸 Thank you to these ifw alums who FUNDED the campaign, made videos, written posts, shared, and sent emails attesting to how IFundWomen has fundamentally helped their businesses Blair Imani Jill Angelo Tammeca Rochester Sandra K Johnson, Precious L. 🫠I hate mixing business and politics, but the sad fact is: SCOTUS killed my business. 👯♀️When Samantha Katz and Joy Hoover asked me to keynote the first Founders for Kamala Zoom, I asked them what they wanted me to talk about. They said “As a founder, tell us your Why Kamala story.” Given what IFundWomen has been dealing with for the past 15 months, the speech wrote itself. Please support the #standwithofundwomen crowdfunding campaign so we can rebrand and survive, https://lnkd.in/gR78bdby #IFundWomen #scotus #rebrand #crowdfunding #dei

Back in 2017 I was trying to become an author. No one would even give me a chance until I met Karen Cahn of IFundWomen. Now because of this sexist campaign against them and anyone who uplifts marginalized communities they might not exist by the end of the year. Consider donating: https://lnkd.in/grUT5ZHp Karen Cahn took me under her wing and helped me raise $11,000. Without that funding I wouldn’t have been able to afford the costs of researching, writing, and pitching my book to publishers. In all honesty when I think back on how discouraged I was I’m not sure I ever would’ve broken into the publishing industry. 7 years later and I’m a success story. I’ve written three books, I’ve created a viral web series and I’m able to work for myself. IFundWomen helped realize my value as an educator and afford the pivot from working a 9 to 5 to becoming an entrepreneur. Now the same “legal strategist” behind the overturn of affirmative action by the Supreme Court is coming after incredible support organizations that work to make sure that people like me have a chance to compete, grow, and succeed in a system that was built to exclude us. I’m calling on you to stand with IFundWomen and against the systematic dismantling of all this hard earned progress. https://lnkd.in/grUT5ZHp Karen Cahn, I got your back. We will make it through this together.

🚨 I've been banging my head against the wall for 15 months trying to solve this problem, to no avail: IFundWomen has to rebrand, or we will die. No more hiding or mincing words. 😡 SCOTUS's June 2023 decision against affirmative action rolled out the red carpet for racist, sexist, homophobic "lawsuit companies" and general life-ruiners, to file lawsuits against VC firms, consumer brands, startup accelerators, and nonprofits awarding business grants to historically underestimated founders. You know, organizations that are smart and support badass entrepreneurs who are the backbone of the economy. 😵💫 This nonsense jeopardized IFundWomen’s biggest funding source for our members—corporate grants. In four years, we deployed over $170M in corporate grants to people representing all genders, races, and ethnicities from 35 countries and speaking 20 languages! We love diverse co-founder teams because diverse teams raise more capital and make more money. This has been our deal since day one. 🤯 But get this: our grants business is dying because of our brand name. Despite our inclusive business operations, the word "WOMEN" in our name deters corporations from partnering with us. I get it, and I do not blame these companies for keeping their brands out of harm's way. It is what it is. 🎬 And, scene. I explain in more detail in this video and my latest blog post. If you are moved to support the #StandWithIFundWomen Fund so we can pivot and reimagine our grants business, please go here 🚀 https://lnkd.in/e5ubFYrJ 🙏🏼Thank you for taking the time to read this. ⏳ It's time to Stand With IFundWomen. It's no secret that women-owned businesses have long struggled to access the capital they need to start and grow, which is precisely why we founded IFundWomen—to address this critical issue. However, recent U.S. Court rulings have exacerbated the challenge. The rollback of Affirmative Action and the blocking of grants for Black entrepreneurs by The Fearless Fund have significantly impacted women-founded businesses nationwide, and IFundWomen has not been immune to the fallout. Please read, please fund, please share, and please #StandWithIFundWomen #affirmativeaction #fearlessfund #DEIB #DEI #diverseteamsmakemoremoney #IFundWomen #IFundWomenofColor
