🤝 Law Hub paid a courtesy visit to the The International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES) today. Our team met with the Country Director, Seray M.O Jah, and the Deputy Country Director and Head of Programmes, Simon Fanto, to discuss potential areas of collaboration and partnership. The discussions centred around potential joint initiatives, research, and knowledge sharing platforms. We're excited about the possibilities for working together to strengthen democratic processes and institutions in Nigeria. #IFES #Democracy #ElectoralReform #Nigeria

🌐 #MoneyInPolitics Regional Conference 2024, organised by International IDEA, the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR), the Council of Europe, the The International Foundation for Electoral Systems, the National Democratic Institute (NDI), the International Republican Institute (IRI) and the Westminster Foundation for Democracy (WFD) concluded after two productive days. Our Director, Magnus Ohman, moderated discussions on the impact of emerging trends and innovative solutions for political finance integrity. The conference addressed challenges in political finance, focusing on enhancing transparency, integrity, and accountability. It brought together political finance oversight agencies, civil society monitors, political parties, and international organizations from Eastern Europe and EU member states to share experiences and develop effective regulatory solutions.

Deputy Director, Center for Applied Research and Learning at The International Foundation for Electoral Systems
It was fun to share a panel with National Democratic Institute (NDI)'s Richard Klein and International Republican Institute's Jessica Keegan yesterday at InterAction's 2024 Forum. We talked about challenges to electoral integrity during this super year of elections, the importance of democracy assistance, and the links between democracy and broader development aid. Thanks to InterAction for this opportunity to connect with the broader development community and to share a little of the work we do at the The International Foundation for Electoral Systems to protect electoral integrity around the world.

It's common for democratic nations to work together towards shared goals. But now, autocracies are taking a page out of the collaborative playbook, and that can help lend legitimacy to their regimes. How can the international community respond? https://bit.ly/3Qv9xz7
