#IECA member Kristina Dooley, CEP and her team at Estrela Consulting presented a daylong professional development workshop in October to 50 school superintendents, curriculum directors, principals, and school counselors from nearly 30 different school districts in northeast Ohio. The event, titled "College Admissions: Unlocked,” focused on what administrators need to know about the college admissions landscape in 2025. The event was so well-received that they've already been asked to present again next fall!

Should a student commit to a college before the #FAFSA opens? In this Forbes article, #IECA member Laurie Kopp Weingarten, Certified Educational Planner (CEP) of One-Stop College Counseling advises holding off if possible. "Unless the student applied under a binding early decision plan, there isn't usually a good reason to commit without seeing all the options."
