Congratulations to our newest journeymen!
I was honored to join our newest apprenticeship graduates this past month as their leaders, trainers, and a few family members celebrated the new journeymen's impressive achievement. These dedicated, hard-working tradesmen spend three-to-four years learning their craft through on-the-job training and hands-on learning at our Skills Training Center. While they're learning, our apprentices earn a competitive wage, receive benefits for themselves and their families, and have the opportunity to make real impact in our communities. The folks who choose to bring their skills to Idaho Power are the best in the business, and I'm grateful to those throughout the company who invest in their training and education. Wildfire, smoke, and heat have meant a long summer for our folks out in the field. From restoring outages and replacing equipment to helping protect our lines and facilities from wildfire, they’ve been putting in long hours to keep us all cool and connected. We’re so grateful for the tireless efforts of our maintenance and line crews and for the firefighters who are working so hard to protect our communities.
