We are excited to announce that Steve Harrold, division Vice President and Director of Global Security for Corning Incorporated, joined the Board for Hostage US. As past Chair of the External Relations committee for the International Security Management Association (ISMA), Steve was instrumental in bringing Hostage US and ISMA together as formal strategic partners, which has been an invaluable relationship. Steven was drawn to Hostage US saying, “Having had extensive first-hand experience managing personnel crises in high-risk geographies, I saw the personal impact of uncertainty, hardship, trauma, and loss imposed on victims and their family members. I am strongly aligned to the Hostage US mission to serve as a vital resource to victims and their families throughout a hostage-taking ordeal until victims can safely return home and all successfully recovered to normalcy.” Bringing his corporate executive and board governance experience to Hostage US, Steve is committed to building bridges to connect families in a hostage crisis with vital resources. His message to our families and beneficiaries is “we are here for you." Welcome Steve Harrold! We are grateful to have your leadership. #HostageUS

Today we want to highlight one of our founding board members and support coordinator Amy Manson! She says "I am honored to be in the company of amazing people. I am grateful for the opportunity to serve others; and I am humbled by the persistence of those we help." Amy believes at the core of Hostage US: "we are a patriotic organization. Our staff and cadre of Support Coordinators are dedicated to the mission in support of our constitutional right of freedom." Thank you Amy for your continued support of #HostageUS!

Today, on National Day of Charity, we at Hostage US want to take a moment to express our profound gratitude to everyone who makes our work possible. Observed every September 5th, this day celebrates the critical role charities and non-profits play in improving lives and tackling society's most pressing challenges. We extend our deepest thanks to our donors, whose generosity empowers us to continue our mission of supporting hostages and their families. Your unwavering support brings hope where it is most needed. To our dedicated volunteers, your commitment is invaluable. Your efforts allow us to extend our reach and strengthen our impact, ensuring that no one has to face their darkest times alone. We also thank our partners for their collaboration and solidarity. On International Day of Victims of Enforced Disappearances, we are reminded of the unimaginable experience of this crime. Enforced disappearances cause fear and anxiety for families that find themselves unable to locate and connect with their loved ones. Hostage and wrongful detainee families experience similar traumas. We continue to support and stand with hostage and wrongful detainee families going through an unimaginable time. #HostageUS

Hostage US is uniquely qualified to help former captives through their reintegration process; however, we cannot solve every problem alone. It takes support and commitment from leaders who understand the issues and are willing to go the extra mile to offer support. Hostage US is grateful to Raju Bhatia and the security team at Bank of America for doing just that: listening and taking steps that pave the way toward rebuilding a life. #HostageUS
