Martin Luther King, Jr. Day reminds us to celebrate the advances that people of color have made in the architecture community. At HCM, diversity of thought, background, and experiences contributes to innovation and well-rounded design solutions. We believe the design profession has a role in addressing historical and systemic inequities in the built environment. Today, we invite design professionals to discuss and commit to designing spaces that promote accessibility, inclusivity, and social justice.

We recently celebrated the grand opening of the University of Virginia Children's Hospital's new Neurodevelopmental and Behavioral Center at the Riverside Complex. This project was a strategic expansion to centrally locate the Center for Autism, Psychiatry, Psychology, and all Developmental Pediatrics specialties outside of the main hospital in a more accessible location in the community. Our healthcare design experts created several new space types for treatment and evaluation, and we are proud to serve the greater Charlottesville community! https://lnkd.in/e4P3_nZJ
