About us
HOPICS stands for Homeless Outreach Program, Integrated Care System. We are a Division of Special Services for Groups. We are committed to serving the Community in Service Planning Area 6 (SPA 6) in Los Angeles County (including Lynwood, Paramount and Compton). We are one of the largest housing and homeless service agencies in Los Angeles County and the largest in SPA 6. We offer a range of services from not only housing, but behavioral health, reentry services, harm reduction and more. We serve poor and low-income households with a client-centered 'whatever it takes' approach. This approach is why we are recognized leaders in direct service and advocacy for those experiencing homelessness and housing instability in Los Angeles County.

"Know What The Hell You're Voting For" Forum is being hosted by the LA Black Worker Center Political Education Committee. While we don't endorse candidates, we host leading experts to talk about the propositions and measures on the ballot. 🖥️ Webinar 📆 Thursday, October 17th 🕦 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Voting is not just our civic duty; it’s a strategic tool for challenging systemic inequality. The stakes are high, and it's crucial we understand how our votes can influence policies on racial justice, workers' rights, economic opportunities, and more. During this webinar, we will also be tackling the issue of misinformation, as many ballot measures are often written to confuse or mislead voters. Our goal is to ensure that you’re making decisions based on clarity, not confusion. REGISTER TO ATTEND: shorturl.at/QauCJ

2ND ANNUAL Faith Based Summit was hosted by the Faith Collaborative to End Homelessness (FCEH). Their mission? To coordinate and strengthen partnerships with Faith Based Organizations (FBOs). Through this summit, FCEH convened with critical community partners to strengthen the impact of our collective efforts to serve and house our neighbors experiencing homelessness. The focus this year was on 3 critical elements of our work together: - Housing - Serving special populations - Collaboration. FBOs and community members learned to: - Use SB4 to build different types of housing projects on their land. - Address the unique needs of special populations of people experiencing homelessness. - Create avenues for faith communities to enhance their efforts to prevent homelessness. #endhomelessness Conrad N.
