Two weeks ago, we marked the formal end of the IHSS Career Pathways Program, a bittersweet moment for all of us. Yesterday, our incredible Career Pathways team came together to commemorate the journey in true team fashion—by throwing a “funeral” ⚱️ for the program, filled with laughter 😂 and celebration 🎉. This lighthearted send-off was a perfect reflection of the joy and camaraderie that has defined our team’s culture. 🙌 For many of us, the chance to support California’s dedicated caregivers was not just a job but the highlight of our careers. In just two years, this team achieved remarkable milestones: ✔️ 75,548 providers from all 58 counties across California completed at least one training with Homebridge. ✔️ We successfully organized 18,538 live-online and in-person training sessions. ✔️ An astounding 56,284 support tickets were answered between January 2023 and July 2024. ✔️ Our online community has grown to 14,814 providers and counting. ✔️ 69,000 learners completed an incredible 2.5 million self-paced courses. The impact of this program is nothing short of extraordinary ✨, and each member of this team played a key role in making it possible. 🎉 Celebrating Our First VESL Graduates! 🎉 Homebridge is thrilled to announce the graduation of our very first cohort from the Vocational English as a Second Language (VESL) Home Care Immersion Training Program! These 19 graduates have not only conquered language barriers but have also mastered essential home care skills, preparing them to make a meaningful impact as home care professionals.🌟 This unique "earn-while-you-learn" program provides immigrant workers—previously excluded from the workforce due to language barriers—with paid training in both English and caregiving. 🙌 Special thanks to our dedicated instructors, program staff, and VESL team, whose hard work made this incredible achievement possible.
