Our final session of the day brought together a powerhouse panel of experts led by Lorraine Bardeen, CVP and CTO, Commercial Solutions Area at Microsoft, Marinela Profi, Global Product Strategy Lead for AI at SAS and Chris Kraft, Deputy CTO for AI & Emerging Technology at DHS. Lorraine shared with us a framework in which to view Gen AI, emphasizing three top learnings: Provide good data for the best results, equip your AI with business strategy and embrace the change. These key practices will help channel data to maximize trusted, accurate results. Highlighted in the discussion was that no matter the technology trend, you always start with data and more data doesn’t necessarily mean better. Using relevant data can be both cost saving and help remove the risk of duplication and unnecessary noise. Thank you, panelists, for spending your afternoon with HITEC and sharing with us how to leverage AI for good!

Maria Elshamy, Customer Transformation Leader-IBM Client Partner, at IBM accompanied by Ricardo Garza, John C., and Luz Esparza to discuss how AI is impacting business operations. Maria began the conversation, stating that AI is set to boost productivity by 25% to 70%, streamlining operations while also raising concerns around data privacy and security. Panelist shared a variety of case studies showcasing how AI facilitates operational models and processes. In customer service, for instance, AI can assist call center agents by synthesizing conversations, allowing them to focus on customer engagement rather than note-taking. This enhances user experience, as AI co-pilots provide real-time answers and help navigate complex data. The conversation highlighted that, as professionals, we have a unique opportunity to shape this transformation and adapt to new operating models across industries. The evolution of self-service, digital products and procurement, are additional areas where AI enables more intuitive interactions with knowledge bases, revolutionizing how we access information and support. Thank you, panelists, for your insight and knowledge! #architectsofgrowth
