July 7th marks the anniversary of Machu Picchu's inscription as a UNESCO World Wonder in 2007. This prestigious designation solidified Machu Picchu's place as a cultural and historical treasure of global significance. Machu Picchu welcomes approximately 5000 visitors a day, who marvel at the impressive architecture and the rich flora and fauna.
