Out of almost 700 submissions from 36 countries worldwide, we're proud to share that Shaw Contract awarded our Overland Park, Kan. headquarters office design as a 2024 BEST OF THE GLOBE Project. The headquarters office features a state-of-the-art environment that embodies our sustainability goals. The employee and pet experience was at the forefront of every decision made during planning, design, and construction. This design is the first International WELL Building Institute (IWBI) Platinum-certified WELL project in the state of Kansas and is LEED Gold Certified. Through a vast team of design experts and consultants, project and facilities employees and our HQ project employee volunteers, we love seeing their hard work rewarded for making our new space employee and pet-focused. Not only is September #NationalPreparednessMonth, there have already been several major disasters happening coast to coast. We recently commissioned a new study that showed while 82% of pet owners said it's important to have a disaster preparedness plan for their pet, only a third actually have one. To help pet parents be prepared, we are teaming up with some of our Hill's Food, Shelter & Love partners in areas prone to natural disasters including Animal Rescue League of Iowa, Inc., Houston SPCA, Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region, Kentucky Humane Society, Marin Humane, Maui Humane Society, Louisiana SPCA, NOCO Humane and Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League with the goal of keeping pets safe and reducing the strain on shelters. 🌟 When we say caring is one of our core values, we mean it! 🌟 We're proud to share that over 250 of our incredible Hill’s Pet Nutrition US employees came together across Kansas – from Emporia to Topeka to Kansas City – to support more than 12 local nonprofit organizations during our recent Nancy Perry Day of Caring volunteer days, which is part of the wider Global Colgate-Palmolive Cares Days initiative! From packing meals to supporting community gardens, our teams gave their time and talent to make a real impact. This annual event is a highlight for all of us, and it's truly inspiring to see the dedication and enthusiasm our employees bring each year.
