As world leaders, NGOs and corporations are gathered for #ClimateWeekNYC, Highgate is proud to release our latest Corporate Responsibility Report outlining how we are tackling some of the world’s toughest climate challenges: • As a commercial real estate owner and hotel operator, we are a part of the built environment’s 42% contribution to global annual carbon emissions. By completing hundreds of energy and water conservation projects, we push to operate our buildings as efficiently as possible. To address the embodied carbon of buildings and cement production’s 7% contribution to global annual carbon emissions, we were the first hotel owner and management company to complete a green concrete project • The aviation industry is responsible for almost 2% of global emissions today and its impact on climate change is expected to grow rapidly by 2050. Highgate is the first hospitality company to buy sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) credits and to set a goal for all eligible used cooking oil from our hotels to be used for SAF production by 2030. • Agricultural systems need to shift from extractive to regenerative. Our culinary exploration with perennial grain builds momentum for agroecosystems that provide natural grassland benefits like carbon sequestration, soil protection, and water purification. We applaud all our team members from the top down for their commitment and hard work. This past week. Highgate hosted its 4th annual Charity Golf Outing at the Roxiticus Golf Club raising an impressive $150k for the Highgate Charitable Foundation in support of Save the Children US and The Aga Khan Foundation. The event kicked off with a brunch, followed by a day of golfing with surprise activations at each hole, a post-golf reception and dinner, and finally, ended with hot air balloon rides. We were proud to host so many of our amazing partners and our Highgate family from around the country. Thank you to the incredible team and volunteers who put this event together!

We’re thrilled to share that The Candler Hotel has been recognized as the #2 Best Hotel in Atlanta by Condé Nast Traveler. Originally constructed in the early 20th century by the visionary founder of Coca-Cola, The Candler first opened its doors in 2019, with a focus on blending history with modern luxury. This achievement is a testament to the dedication and passion of our incredible leadership and hardworking team, who have made The Candler Hotel a true icon in Atlanta.

Congratulations to Dina Winder, Senior Vice President, of Asset Management at Highgate, who was selected for HOTEL MANAGEMENT Magazine's 2024 Influential Women in Hospitality. Dina has been with Highgate for 3+ years and has been a crucial part in creating the company's asset management group. Dina credits her success with having "multiple vantage points" from her past on Wall Street, experience with acquisitions and development, and working in private equity before her current role at Highgate. The MICHELIN Guide names the Graduate New York as one of the best new hotel openings in NYC. As the only hotel on Roosevelt Island and neighbor to the Cornell University Tech Campus, the Michelin guide says "The Graduate hotels tend to play an outsized role in the hospitality scenes of the college towns they call home, but this one stretches the traditional definition of “college town” just a bit."
