Sadly for those of us who love the sweltering heat, summer is coming to an end. Squeeze the most out of the last summer days with these fish tacos! Catfish is a summer staple — this light protein won’t leave you feeling heavy. Don’t skip the citrus slaw! It adds that crunch and more yummy summer flavors. Pro tip: Make the slaw at least an hour before the rest of the taco so the slaw can absorb all the delicious flavors in the dressing. #OneHHS

Healthy food is important, but sometimes a comfort meal is your priority. When you aren’t feeling well, a warm meal like your mom used to make is exactly what you need. (Let’s be honest: would you rather have a broccoli salad or some boxed mac and cheese when you’re sick?) We think patients shouldn’t have to choose between health and comfort. Our Down South concept nourishes bodies and souls. Thank you for sharing, Tara Fitzpatrick

A Picnic at Midnight The third shift isn't everyone’s first choice. The late hours aren't glamorous. But these heroes show up, save lives, and make a difference every day. To honor their dedication, St. Vincent’s Medical Center hosts an annual employee appreciation picnic for the third shift. They asked HHS to support and our teams were honored to serve! Our culinary, EVS, and transport teams, joined by our regional and national HHS leadership, served hot dogs, mac ‘n’ cheese, baked beans, and ice-cold drinks to 300 staff members from 11:00 pm to 1:00 am. A warm meal doesn’t say everything we feel for these heroes, but it’s a start. Thank you to all of the doctors, nurses, dietitians, clinicians, and all of the heroes who dedicate their lives to healing others. It is our privilege to serve you! #OneHHS #HHSCulinary #Healthcare #Gratitude

National Peach Month isn’t over yet! Celebrate with this delicious grilled peach salad. Grilling the peaches really brings out the sweetness (and with no added sugar). If you don’t have a grill, you can pan-sear the peaches on a stovetop on high heat for 2-3 minutes. Tip: Don’t move the peaches — let them sit! Let us know if you try it! #OneHHS #NationalPeachMonth

Here’s how we develop great leaders who understand their teams. We send our VPs to frontline training for hands-on experience. Our leaders gain the knowledge they need to guide their teams and serve our customers well by working in the field. Here’s what we see after our VPs go through fieldwork training: ➞ Better Communication and Teamwork: Working with staff helps leaders see and appreciate their tasks, improving communication and teamwork. ➞ Smarter Decisions: Hands-on training gives VPs real experience, helping them make better choices and keep everything running smoothly. ➞ Stronger Teams: The experience brings leaders closer to the team, promoting continuous improvement and respect. Do you agree with this approach? Tell us why in the comments! #OneHHS
