During Homelessness Awareness Month each November, we are reminded that everyone deserves access to safe and stable housing. At the Housing First Minnesota Foundation, we partner with nonprofit service providers to build dignified homes for those in need within our community. This month, join us in raising awareness, supporting our build projects, and advocating for sustainable housing solutions. Together, we can make a meaningful impact on homelessness in Minnesota. By contributing to our Foundation, you can help us create lasting change for individuals facing homelessness, ensuring they have access to safe housing and vital services. Building Futures Through Housing
About us
The Housing First Minnesota Foundation is a nonprofit organization that builds and remodels transitional housing for Minnesotans in need and provides scholarships for students entering the construction industry. We believe every individual has worth and human dignity and deserves the basic provision of shelter as a necessity of life. The Housing First Minnesota Foundation has a 25-year history of building futures through housing. By leveraging the talents and resources of Housing First Minnesota’s builders, remodelers, suppliers, and volunteers, we are able to build dignified housing for people in crisis in our community.

Exciting progress update for our Penn Ave Housing for Heroes home: we're about 2 weeks away from completion! The build team is wrapping up plumbing, HVAC systems, exterior stone, carpet installation, and interior finishes. Each task completed is another step closer to welcoming a deserving hero home! None of this would be possible without our build partner, Lennar Minnesota, and community partner, MACV Minnesota Assistance Council for Veterans. Thank you to all who joined us for this week's 2024 Housing for Heroes Ribbon Cutting Ceremony. It was a wonderful celebration of the partnership between the Housing First Minnesota Foundation, Lennar Minnesota, and the MACV Minnesota Assistance Council for Veterans, and our three completed Housing for Heroes homes in North Minneapolis. This marks the 12th, 13th, and 14th homes completed in our partnership. Thank you to our partners for their continued dedication to ending veteran homelessness! Photos by Nordy Photography

I cannot begin to describe the wonderful feeling of using your career in construction to provide a family with a safe, functional, and beautiful home. I highly recommend that anyone remotely interested in being a build partner pursue the opportunity. Today is #WorldHomelessDay, a day dedicated to raising awareness about individuals experiencing homelessness or at risk of becoming homeless. The mission at the Housing First Minnesota Foundation is partner to build safe housing for Minnesotans in need, with a vision of providing dignified housing in the pursuit of ending homelessness. We currently have a number of build projects in the works that will help Minnesota veterans and their families, youth in crisis, veterans with PTSD, and mothers and children. It is because of our community of supporters and donors that we are able to continue to expand our project capacity to build more homes for our neighbors in need. On this World Homeless Day, please consider supporting our build projects with a donation to our Foundation: https://bit.ly/3WIYuUw Your gift will have an impact in our work to end homelessness in Minnesota.
