Who else was taught that for each 1 hour of research, you should spend 3 hours tagging? Ummmm...no one has that kind of time! That leaves you with two options: (1) spend hours tagging your research, or (2) leave valuable data untagged and undiscoverable. But Marvin doesn't make you choose! Follow this workflow to leverage AI + a centralized research repository: 1. Use an AI note-taker to automatically store your research data and time-stamped notes in real time. 2. Run deep thematic analysis on your research as soon as you complete user interviews or surveys. 3. Sync your insights and findings directly into an interactive insights report, complete with video clips and charts that elevate the customer voice. 4. Use Ask AI's search capabilities to discover insights, quotes, interviews, and more. This is the workflow of an agile UX researcher in 2024 👇

This is what happens when you don’t use a research repository... 👎 Organizational silos lead to an incomplete understanding of customers and, as a result, a less innovative product. 👎 Without a place to keep data, you lose valuable learnings. *Poof* they’re gone, never to be seen again! 👎 Efforts get duplicated. Think about a time you had to conduct new research because you couldn’t find the data from a previous study. Ugh! 👎 You make under-informed decisions because you don't have enough valuable information. Basically, doing research without repositories makes our jobs a lot harder. Who wants that?

AI isn't a silver bullet, but it *is* a powerful tool to add to your toolset. Prayag Narula explains Marvin's philosophy on AI for UXR 👇 We start from understanding customer problems and look for a solution to solve them. Sometimes it's through AI, sometimes it isn't. But as AI capabilities expand, so do its use cases for better UXR 🦾🤖 AI is your friend, not your foe!

Over the past 6 months, I've been using various #research methods to learn more about users, understand their problems, and challenge my assumptions for a new venture. Recently, I conducted a study using a powerful combination of tools: User Interviews, Alpharun, and Marvin. Here's a breakdown of my process: 1. Created an Alpharun project to interview Colorado residents about their outdoor recreation habits. 2. Used Claude AI to help craft 9 questions. 3. Set up a User Interviews project to recruit 7 participants, focusing on Colorado residents who make frequent mountain trips. 4. Launched the unmoderated study in User Interviews using the Alpharun voice interview link. 5. Approved participants accessed the link and responded to questions, with Alpharun's AI asking follow-up questions for clarity. 6. Reviewed completed interviews and transcripts in Alpharun. 7. Imported interviews into Marvin for AI-assisted note-taking. 8. Tagged interviews and used Marvin's AI to identify patterns in Colorado outdoor recreation habits and behaviors. 9. Synthesized new insights with previous research findings. 10. Incorporated key learnings into the pitch deck. This process, completed in just a few days, reinforces my belief in the power of ongoing and lightweight research. The more we understand user challenges and opportunities, the better we can design solutions. The right research tools are essential, enabling efficient collection and organization of insights to build superior products, services, and experiences. I highly recommend checking out: ⭐ User Interviews for participant recruitment ⭐ Alpharun for conducting voice interviews ⭐ Marvin for research storage and analysis By leveraging these tools, you can significantly enhance your user research efficiency and effectiveness. What tools are you using to accelerate your #research process?

Conducting research without a research repository is risky business (and not in a cool Tom Cruise kind of way). Research helps you understand your customers better... but it's easy to lose track of notes, interviews, and important user feedback. Centralized, searchable repositories like Marvin make valuable insights easier to access and act on. Now you can spend less time searching for files and more time providing strategic direction!
