Thank you so much to everyone who sent toys from our wishlist! They’re mostly going to the puppies, but Hero Dogs Tripp just had to check some out to make sure they are safe for the little ones... 😆

Service Dogs for America's Heroes
About us
Hero Dogs, Inc., a Maryland 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation, improves quality of life for our nation’s heroes by raising, training, and placing service dogs and other highly skilled canines, free of charge with lifetime support of the partnerships. The Hero Dogs staff and volunteers train dogs to assist veterans and first responders with physical limitations and/or mobility issues, hearing loss, mental health disorders, or combinations of these. A Hero Dog reduces a veteran’s reliance on other people by doing tasks that the veteran cannot do alone. A dedicated service dog can give a veteran the confidence and support to travel outside the home independently, (re)join the workforce, and accomplish the everyday tasks of living. Hero Dogs relies on volunteers to fill a variety of roles in the organization. If you would like to donate your time and skills (as a board member, puppy raiser, puppy sitter, or kennel volunteer), please visit: http://hero-dogs.org/volunteer

Leading up to National Fetch Day on Saturday, October 19th, we are hoping you'll help us cross some items off of our Toy Wishlist! The dogs in our program have done a number on their toys and are in need of some new stuffies to play with when they're off the clock. Want to help? Visit hero-dogs.org/toywishlist and pick your favorite toy for these hardworking, hard-playing pups. Thank you! 🧸

Every year, we make a Hero Dogs wall calendar for supporters who have donated $250 or more in the previous year. For our 2025 calendar, we are trying something new! A $100 donation will get you a calendar previously exclusive to donors of over $250, and you can choose a day in the calendar to recognize an important pet in your life! For example: 🐾 your pet's "Gotcha Day" 🐾 the anniversary of your service dog's placement with you 🐾 the birthday of a facility dog who has made a difference in your life Interested? Head over to hero-dogs.org/2025calendar to fill out the form and choose your date! Thank you for supporting Hero Dogs! Fine print: The last day to submit your donation and message is 10/30/24. Message must be limited to 20 characters including spaces. Up to two donors can select the same date. If two donors have already picked your first choice date/message, we will use your second choice.
