Today is World Suicide Prevention Day.
It’s a day to raise awareness, offer support, and break the silence surrounding suicide. Tragically, 1 in 5 high school students have seriously considered attempting suicide. These numbers are a powerful reminder of the importance of mental health and the need to check in on those around us. At Backpack Healthcare, we’re committed to ensuring that no one faces their mental health journey alone. Let’s come together to offer hope, spread kindness, and be there for each other. Together, we can make a difference and save lives. **If you or someone you know needs help immediately, call or text #988, or chat at 988lifeline.org, to speak to a trained crisis counselor 24/7/365. We are deeply saddened by the tragic event that occurred at Apalachee High School in Georgia, resulting in the loss of lives. Our thoughts are with everyone affected by this heartbreaking incident. 💜 Gun violence in schools has a devastating impact on our children’s sense of safety and well-being. Studies show that exposure to gun violence, especially in school environments, is strongly associated with increased rates of PTSD, depressive symptoms, and substance use among children and teens. It’s essential that we address these feelings and provide a safe space for our youth to express their concerns and fears. At Backpack Healthcare, we are committed to supporting schools and families during this difficult time. We offer mental health resources for parents, kids, teens, and school administrators to help navigate the emotional aftermath of such incidents. Whether it’s anxiety, fear, or confusion, we are here to help. For more information, read our latest blog post here: https://lnkd.in/edi5EhJb If you or your loved ones are struggling to process this event, please reach out to us. Together, we can navigate these challenging times and work toward creating a stronger, safer community for our children.

Strategic innovation in the healthcare industry.

Today, I had the distinct pleasure of meeting with Prashanth Brahmandam, CTO of Backpack Healthcare, to delve into the impactful, mission-driven work they are doing in children's mental health. Hearing about their innovative efforts to expand access to mental health support was truly inspiring, as they continue to redefine what’s possible. This is a great example of harnessing AI for good and leveraging technology to extend the reach of healthcare services to underserved populations. The future of healthcare is not just on the horizon—it’s here, and it’s AI-driven. This technology is not only improving access but also creating new possibilities for care that we’ve never seen before. A heartfelt thank you to Ai4 - Artificial Intelligence Conferences for hosting such a diverse and engaging speaker series last week, and for creating invaluable opportunities to network with industry leaders. #HealthcareInnovation #AIinHealthcare #AccessToCare #FutureOfHealthcare #Ai4
