We are deeply saddened by the tragic event that occurred at Apalachee High School in Georgia, resulting in the loss of lives. Our thoughts are with everyone affected by this heartbreaking incident. 💜 Gun violence in schools has a devastating impact on our children’s sense of safety and well-being. Studies show that exposure to gun violence, especially in school environments, is strongly associated with increased rates of PTSD, depressive symptoms, and substance use among children and teens. It’s essential that we address these feelings and provide a safe space for our youth to express their concerns and fears.
