In honor of National Bereavement Day, our Fort Oglethorpe chaplains read out the names of the patients we lost and rang the bell in remembrance, as well as in recognition of the lives lost in the school shooting that occurred yesterday in Winder, GA.

It's September, and that means it's #ProstateCancerAwarenessMonth. Shockingly, the projected numbers for this year show approximately 299,010 new cases of prostate cancer and 35,250 deaths. Let's use this month to educate and raise awareness among men and their loved ones about the effects of prostate cancer. Help spread the word by sharing this post with someone important to you—because awareness is key in combating this disease. Labor Day is a time to pay tribute to all our American workers. We thank our workers for the contributions and achievement each one of you have made over the years. Hard work is more than just a job. Harvey Mackay says it best if you “find something you love to do, and you’ll never have to work a day in your life.” We hope you have found a career that you look forward to working in each day. Happy Labor Day!

What a fantastic Friday! The Hearth Chattanooga team organized this special Embrace Life Event for two of our patients, who are brothers. Raymond celebrated his 90th birthday, and as a surprise, our team arranged for his brother Paul, also a patient, to be transported to his home. The celebration was filled with family members and Hearth colleagues. We’d like to extend a special thank you to Pro Logo Depot for donating the shirts worn by the birthday boy and his brother. #OurCareFamily #HappyBirthday #FeelGoodFriday

Today, on National Grief Awareness Day, we pause to acknowledge the profound pain that comes with loss and to honor the journey of healing that follows. Grief is a deeply personal experience, one that often leaves us feeling isolated and overwhelmed. But it is important to remember that no one has to walk this path alone. At Hearth Hospice, we are committed to supporting those who are grieving. Whether you're mourning the loss of a loved one, or helping someone through their grief, we want you to know that your feelings are valid and that healing is possible. We offer compassionate care and resources to help you navigate this difficult time. From counseling services to support groups, we are here to provide a safe space where you can express your emotions and find comfort in the company of others who understand what you're going through. Grief doesn’t have a timeline, and there is no “right” way to grieve. It’s a process that unfolds in its own time and taking it one day at a time is okay. On this National Grief Awareness Day, let's come together to support one another, listen with empathy, and remind each other that even in the darkest moments, hope and healing are within reach. If you or someone you know is struggling with grief, please reach out. We’re here for you, today and every day. https://lnkd.in/g8iz6qeD #NationalGriefAwarenessDay #GriefSupport #HealingTogether #HospiceCare
