  • "Ninoy Aquino Day reminds us that the price of freedom is eternal vigilance, and that one person's courage can ignite the hope of millions." On Ninoy Aquino Day on August 21st, we reflect on the significance of this day and extend our warmest wishes to all our colleagues in the Philippines. Ninoy Aquino Day, commemorating the assassination of Senator Benigno "Ninoy" Aquino Jr. – a key figure in restoring democracy to the Philippines, is more than just a national holiday; it's a powerful reminder of the values we hold dear – courage, integrity, and the unwavering pursuit of justice. Benigno "Ninoy" Aquino Jr.'s sacrifice and dedication to democracy continue to inspire not just Filipinos, but people around the world. As a global company, we recognize and respect the diverse cultural and historical contexts in which we operate. This day offers us an opportunity to appreciate the hard-won freedoms that allow us to work together across borders and cultures. We encourage our colleagues in Manila to take some time to reflect on Aquino's legacy and the importance of standing up for what is right. Whether you choose to participate in commemorative events or simply enjoy time with your loved ones, we hope you find it meaningful. Your dedication to our mission, much like Aquino's dedication to his country, drives our success. Thank you for your continued commitment and hard work. Wishing you all a reflective and peaceful Ninoy Aquino Day. #medcomms #courage #diversity #integrity #freedom

  • Dear Colleagues,   I'm writing to address the recent tragic events in Southport UK and the subsequent unrest across the UK. The horrific murders of three young girls and serious injury to 10 other people – 8 of which were children – all at a dance party have shocked and saddened us all. This senseless act of violence has no place in our society, and our hearts go out to the victims' families and the community of Southport.   Regrettably, in the wake of this tragedy, we've witnessed a disturbing surge in xenophobia and anti-immigration extremism and protests across the UK. The spread of misinformation has fueled riots and violent demonstrations in several cities. We've seen deeply troubling incidents of racial and religious slurs being shouted in the streets, attacks on asylum seekers, and the vandalism of community spaces.   I want to acknowledge that these protests may be causing distress, anxiety, or concern for many of you, particularly those from minority or marginalized communities. Please know that your safety, well-being, and sense of belonging within our organization are of utmost importance to us. Please reach out to a colleague if you need support during this challenging time- I am confident you will find support from within our culture. As always, our Employee Assistance Program stands ready if you require more formal support.   I want to reinforce that HCG stands firmly against all forms of hate, discrimination, and extremism. ◾We unequivocally condemn all acts of violence, discrimination, and hatred, including the xenophobic and racist rhetoric we've witnessed. ◾We reject the spread of misinformation and conspiracy theories that seek to divide our communities. ◾We support peaceful, lawful expressions of opinion while strongly opposing extremism in all forms. ◾We remain committed to fostering an inclusive environment where every team member, regardless of their background, feels safe, valued, and respected.   Our commitment to DEIB is not just a policy—it's a fundamental part of who we are as a company and as individuals. We believe that our diversity is our strength, and we will continue to foster an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued, respected, and heard.   During this time, we continue to support one another with empathy, understanding, and respect. It's more important than ever that we stand united against hatred and discrimination.    Thank you, Matt D’Auria Global CEO HCG
