How much more work is needed when it comes to gender equity in healthcare? 🤔🤔 A LOT MORE! For decades, women have been at the forefront of change, particularly in healthcare, where women now make up the majority of the workforce. As part of Global DE&I Month at Takeda, today at our global HQ in Tokyo we hosted 200 leaders from across the healthcare industry to celebrate the 1st anniversary of Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association (HBA) in Japan. First and foremost this was an opportunity to acknowledge that the above statement is more than a statistic—it's a movement, a future, and a responsibility. We are proud to partner with the HBA who has paved the way for gender equity in healthcare, but there’s still much work to be done. The stakes? Everything. From improving healthcare policies to advocating for women innovators and addressing the persistent health gap, the HBA is driving change. As HBA CEO Mary Stutts, MHA pointed out, women are not just a part of healthcare—women are the gatekeepers to family health, the leaders in decision-making, and the champions of wellness. Yet, women continue to face challenges like under-representation in clinical trials and delayed diagnoses. 📣 The time for change is NOW. 💡 We must act—because when women thrive, healthcare thrives, and the world becomes a healthier, stronger place for all. #BetterHealth #BrighterFuture Healthcare Businesswomen's Association - Entrepreneurship Healthcare Businesswomen's Association
