Thank you, Michigan Health Endowment Fund for highlighting how the Attend/ Present scholarship program allows professionals to pursue conferences and trainings! Learn more about how to join our upcoming Care Model (c) training session or about purchasing the curriculum to use in your community! https://lnkd.in/eRxwh-4g
The Health Fund’s Attend/Present scholarship program helps health-focused organizations send staff to conferences and trainings to learn, share, and build partnerships. One example: a recent scholarship helped Treetops Collective send staff to a Health Net Care Model© Training program. “The topics covered — motivational interviewing, goal setting, and strengths-based client-centered care — will be lived out by our team over the next year,” said Treetops Collective’s Jenna Fiore. Want to know more? Visit the Health Net of West Michigan website to learn more about upcoming Care Model© Training — launching on May 8 — and check out our website for more information on Attend/Present: lnkd.in/gFjUWwAN

We are deeply saddened by the loss of Dr. Rhae-Ann Booker, a remarkable leader who contributed innovative approaches to the field of diversity, equity, and inclusion both locally and nationally. Her unwavering dedication left an unerasable mark on our community. Her legacy will continue to serve as inspiration, as she advocated tirelessly for underrepresented communities and championed the cause of social justice. As a board member of Health Net of West Michigan, Dr. Booker brought her unparalleled expertise and passion for equitable access to healthcare to the forefront of all conversations. Her strategic insights and commitment to fostering inclusivity served to bridge gaps between our organization and the broader health system of University of Michigan Health West. We mourn the loss of a visionary leader, mentor, and friend. Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with her loved ones during this difficult time. Those interested in honoring her life can do so on Saturday, February 10 at the Calvin University Chapel at noon.

Many of us have a passion for supervision and are dedicated to our staff in supporting them to reach their personal and professional goals. Still, many of us feel underequipped for the role and seek support in becoming stronger leaders. We are thrilled to share that we have designed a 4-session course called Supervision Foundations to fill this specific gap in training opportunities!
