This National Wellness Month is a great time to schedule routine checkups! Healthy meals and active hobbies are great, but routine checkups, including dental appointments, are also important for a healthy body. The Health District took to the airwaves in 2004, joining three other local government entities that each hosted a monthly, half-hour public affairs radio show called Community at Work on KRFC. The Health District segment of Community at Work featured interviews of agency staff and representatives from other community health organizations. As an organization, we aim to include and engage our community in conversations about healthy lifestyles and developments in community health.

✨ 30 Ways to a Healthier Community ✨ The Health District has stepped up to help after fires, floods, and other emergent community health needs. Most recently, the Health District helped organize and staff an isolation, recovery, and quarantine center for individuals who were unhoused during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic.
