We show up for our patients! Meet Beth, a clinical pharmacist at TriStar Southern Hills Medical Center, who recently went above and beyond to show up for a patient. The patient required a specialized formulation of a transplant medication that TriStar Southern Hills did not have on hand. Beth reached out to other TriStar Health facilities and found the medication available at TriStar Skyline Medical Center. To ensure the patient received the medication as soon as possible, Beth drove to TriStar Skyline to personally pick it up. Then she brought it back to TriStar Southern Hills, prepared the doses for the nurses to administer and educated them on proper handling and administration — all after normal pharmacy hours. #WeShowUp #CareLikeFamily

All of us at HCA Healthcare | TriStar Division and TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center are proud to be the first Innovation Hub of HCA Healthcare and Care Transformation and Innovation (CT&I). Core to CT&I’s work in digital care is the Innovation Hub, a hospital location dedicated to collaborative design and the development of solutions designed to benefit patients and care team members across HCA Healthcare. As the roots of CT&I’s work in digital care first took shape within our Birth Center at TriStar Hendersonville, our team wanted to create a space “close to home” for CT&I’s TriStar Hendersonville-based and visiting team members. Our recent NICU expansion gave birth to the CT&I Innovation Center at TriStar Hendersonville, which held its open house yesterday for our TriStar Hendersonville team. This innovative space provides for strategic brainstorming and collaboration, a place where ideas are introduced and the potential to improve patient care and support care team members are imagined. Our TriStar Hendersonville care team members and leaders share their direct feedback with CT&I to help bring about digital care for HCA Healthcare. It was truly gratifying to celebrate this strong partnership between TriStar Hendersonville and CT&I. #ImproveMoreLives #UnlockPossibilities #CareTransformation #HCANursing

Exciting news! Today, The Store announced plans to open a second location on the campus of TriStar Centennial Medical Center to continue its mission of fighting food insecurity in Nashville. Brad Paisley and Kimberly Williams-Paisley are co-founders of The Store, a nonprofit organization that offers a free, referral-based grocery store to empower Nashville families and individuals in need. The Store’s unique model, which emphasizes dignity and choice, allows customers to select from a variety of nutritious foods, clothing and wrap-around services. This system of wrap-around services includes counseling, nutrition education and financial planning, making The Store a beacon of hope and care in our community. “As caregivers, our concern for the well-being of our community extends beyond our hospital doors,” said Tom Ozburn, president and CEO of TriStar Centennial Medical Center. “Through The Store, our care teams will have peace of mind knowing the community will have a resource close by that can help provide needed food and clothing.” For more information or to learn how to volunteer, visit thestore.org. 📷: From left to right: Collen Mayer, The Store CEO, Kimberly Williams-Paisley, Brad Paisley, Tom Ozburn, TriStar Centennial President & CEO #HealthierTomorrows

🐾 This #NationalDogDay, we’re shining a light on TriStar Centennial Medical Center and The Children’s Hospital At TriStar Centennial’s facility dog, Minnie Pearl. Minnie Pearl’s namesake holds special meaning to both our HCA Healthcare family and the Nashville, Tennessee community. “Minnie Pearl” was the stage name of world-renowned Grand Ole Opry character and television and radio personality, Sarah Cannon. After receiving treatment for breast cancer at the Sarah Cannon Cancer Network’s founding center in Nashville, she offered the use of her given name to promote cancer research and patient education with a vision of offering patients convenient access to early detection and clinical trials. HCA Healthcare’s Sarah Cannon Cancer Network now cares for communities across the U.S. and United Kingdom, forming one of the largest patient-centric clinical trial organizations in the world. In her first few months on the job, Minnie has already made a lasting impact at the Music City hospital and has quickly become a beloved member of the care team. She is a fixture at hospital events, and recently attended one thrown in her honor — her first birthday party. Thank you to our four-legged colleagues for serving as a source of joy within the walls of our hospitals. 📸 To celebrate National Dog Day, share a picture of your furry friend in the comment section! #PositiveImpact

We appreciate our volunteers' generosity, and we know ten incoming college freshmen who appreciate their generosity, too! Each year, the volunteers at TriStar Horizon Medical Center select ten graduating seniors who wish to pursue healthcare-related careers from Creek Wood and Dickson County to award scholarships, totaling $10,000. “TriStar Horizon is committed to supporting the growing healthcare needs in our community. I appreciate our volunteers for generously investing in the future generation of our workforce,” said TriStar Horizon Medical Center CEO Cindy Bergmeier. "I am confident the future of healthcare is in good hands with these bright minds." The Children’s Hospital At TriStar Centennial held their 2024 NICU reunion and welcomed back NICU graduates and their families last month. Featuring an Under the Sea theme, the precious graduates were welcomed by The Little Mermaid's Ariel and Eric along with other well-known friends. The kids were able to reunite with their doctors and nurses and bounce in the “underwater” bounce houses. Best of all, faces were painted and many balloon sea creatures were created! We are proud to watch some of our littlest patients grow and cannot wait to see them all next year. They are a part of our world forever! 🧜♀️🐠 #NICUReunion2024
