Exciting milestone at HCA Florida Poinciana Hospital! We just completed our first case involving a 94-year-old gentleman with severe osteoporosis and debilitating back pain after a fall. His lumbar spine CT revealed a severe compression fracture of L4 (vertebra plana) and a 25% compression fracture of L5. Given his non-surgical status, he was referred to Interventional Radiology. Dr. Bokhari successfully performed a Kyphoplasty of L4 and L5 using a spine-Jack. The patient tolerated the procedure well and is already showing improvement. It’s rewarding to see such positive outcomes from cutting-edge treatments!
