Meet Yosaine Cartaya, RDCS, RVT, RDMS, Sonographer at HCA Florida Suwannee Emergency, a part of HCA Florida Lake City Hospital. As a Sonographer, Yosaine uses the ultrasound machine and equipment to emit sound waves into the body to form images that will help providers diagnose and treat many medical conditions. “My goal is to make patients feel safe, comfortable, confident and heard while they are receiving an ultrasound. I treat our patients how I would like to be treated if I received care. The DAISY Award program was founded by the family of Patrick Barnes in 1999 following a lengthy hospital stay for him and inspired by the compassionate care he received during the last few months of his life. Patrick's family wanted a way to say thank you for the extraordinary care and difference we have the ability to make in our patients' lives.
