  • We are committed to making our communities safer and healthier. In an effort to raise awareness of the dangers of prescription drug misuse and importance of safe disposal, we’re joining HCA Healthcare hospitals across the nation for our sixth annual Crush the Crisis Prescription Drug Take Back Day. The event, which coincides with the Drug Enforcement Administration’s National Prescription Drug Take Back Day, offers the community an opportunity to safely and anonymously dispose of medications that may be left over from previous procedures or other medical visits. In 2023, HCA Healthcare joined local law enforcement at 132 collection sites across 15 states to collect and properly dispose of more than 13,000 pounds of unused or expired medications – the equivalent of an estimated 9 million doses. Positively impacting our community takes teamwork. Help us #CrushTheCrisis on Saturday, October 26, 2024, by safely and anonymously dropping off your medications at 2024 State Ave, Panama City, FL from 10 am to 1pm. • Each day across our larger HCA Healthcare network, emergency room (ER) nurses care for patients who are facing severe, often life-threatening medical emergencies ranging from accidents to strokes and heart attacks. Annually, HCA Healthcare hospitals see more than 9 million ER visits. ER nurses are trained to act decisively in critical situations, providing expert skill with compassion while reducing discomfort during each patient interaction. During Emergency Nurses Week, we celebrate and thank the essential emergency room nurses at HCA Florida Gulf Hospital, HCA Florida Panama City ER and HCA Florida Breakfast Point ER for their dedication to lifesaving, patient-centered care and community service. #PositiveImpact #HCANursing #ENWeek
