About us
Hampton Lumber is a fourth-generation, family-owned company headquartered in Portland, OR. With over 1,700 employees, Hampton operates nine sawmills in Oregon, Washington, and British Columbia and markets wood products all over the world. Hampton’s mills process logs from nearby private and public forests and from Hampton’s own timberlands. All of Hampton’s forestlands are certified by the Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI), an independent, non-profit organization that promotes sustainable forest management. SFI certified forests play an important role in water conservation, wildlife habitat, and climate solutions.

Thanks to Skagit Valley College for spending time with us in the woods! Students from the Forest Ecology class joined our foresters for an immersive, hands-on learning experience. They explored timber cruising, forest health, stand identification, and more—gaining insights into the daily work of a forester. Engaging with students is truly rewarding, and we’re proud to support our local community through opportunities like this. We look forward to welcoming more students in the future! . . . . . . #WaForests #PNW #ForestProud
