What an inspiring day at the Climate Education for Sustainable Cities event on Governors Island! Hosted by GrowNYC, The Trust for Governors Island, UNESCO, and the NY Climate Exchange, this unique gathering for NYC Climate Week was a true celebration of innovation and collaboration. We kicked off the day with dynamic panel discussions featuring expert voices. Our very own Director of Education, Daneille Foster-Russell, participated in the panel “Climate Change & Cities,” which discussed the pressing need for climate change education and the necessary steps for cities and countries to adapt. Outside, attendees witnessed NYC's climate-resilient entrepreneurs in action, showcasing innovative solutions through hands-on demonstrations. The day wrapped up beautifully at GrowNYC’s one-acre Teaching Garden, where everyone enjoyed light refreshments and had the perfect opportunity to network and reflect on the day’s insights. Thank you to all who joined us! Together, we’re paving the way for sustainable cities and a brighter future. 💚 📸: Julienne Schaer
