Incredibly exciting moment for Families, as we are releasing a major update to Maple that I personally believe is the most advanced mobile calendar that has ever been built for families to work like a team, reduce scheduling conflicts and stay informed about what's happening in their home. Typically, as you start adding people to a mobile calendar view, calendars become very difficult to use as all the jammed info makes things impossible to read and feel clumsy. Timeline lets you view your household on mobile in the most legible, clear way. Timeline has completely changed how my wife and I view each others days, and has become our default view at home to work together. It is easier to find time availability, and easy to see what tasks have been accomplished in the day. This build is LOADED with other goodies as well.... What if your family had to meet company OKRs? Would they have the infrastructure to meet corporate expectations? Just this week, BDG's Romper published a thought-provoking article by Sara Wheeler: "The Couples Who Run Their Families Like a Corporation." As someone who's spent the last 20 years in the corporate world and the last 14 as a parent, this piece hit close to home. For years, I've joked that I live my life in quarters - a digestible way to navigate through school years, summers, and activity seasons. But bringing that structure home effectively? That's been a journey. Here's what I know now: 1️⃣ What got us here won't get us there. My husband and I have been "winging it" for 14 years as parents. While it's worked so far, we've hit a point where our old methods won't suffice as our kids grow, schedules intensify, and our own careers advance. 2️⃣ Alignment matters. The organization and intentionality we've invested in our careers don't always align with how we run our home. There’s an opportunity to bridge that gap. 3️⃣ Start small, grow intentionally. This ensures technology solves problems rather than creates them, while preserving human connection–not replacement. 🎯 It's about intention, not just organization: The goal isn't just to manage tasks more efficiently, but to create space for what truly matters - connection, growth, and shared experiences. 🔄 Embrace trial and error: What works for one family or one season might not work for another. Be willing to try new approaches and adjust as needed. 🌟 Model the balance: How we integrate tech into family life sets an example for our kids about technology's role in our lives and relationships, so it's important we manage ourselves.
