Creator of Eureka Math, Wit & Wisdom, and PhD Science curricula and Geodes books for emerging readers.
About us
A group of education leaders founded Great Minds in 2007 to define and encourage knowledge-rich, comprehensive education for all American schoolchildren. In pursuit of that mission, Great Minds brings teachers together with scholars to craft exemplary instructional materials and share them with the field. Great Minds’ Eureka Math curriculum has earned top ratings by independent reviewers for teaching math as a body of knowledge, not just a set of skills. Eureka Math also is known as EngageNY Math. Wit & Wisdom is a rich English language arts curriculum that taps the power of literature, history, and science to build knowledge of intriguing topics while teaching reading comprehension and writing. Aligned to the latest science standards, PhD Science inspires students to wonder about the world and empowers them to make sense of it with hands-on investigation and modeling. Geodes books for early readers inject knowledge about fascinating subjects into beautifully illustrated books, cultivating joyful reading and learning from the outset of education.

"Let's continually promote the narrative that we can all be math people, from grade school all the way to adulthood." We want to take this opportunity to revisit an inspiring article by Lance Barasch, a high school math teacher at #DallasISD. He advocates for promoting the idea that everyone can be math people from grade school to adulthood. Dive into his insightful perspective here: https://ow.ly/roYG50TCj8H

Great Minds CEO and Founder Lynne Munson explains why building students' #backgroundknowledge is crucial for creating exceptional learning experiences across all subjects in this insightful ASCD article. Check it out and share your thoughts in the comments below.
Grateful to be able to contribute to the latest EL Magazine issue on ensuring all students get challenging learning opportunities and the support they need to succeed. I enjoyed writing about the role knowledge plays in getting grade-level texts in the hands of all readers, how concrete objects and visual models aid mathematical thinking, and how studying authentic phenomena is far better than simply memorizing the steps to the scientific method. Please give it a read, and let me know how you think we can better support students together. https://lnkd.in/eSsqhkBd #education

✏️Just wrapped up an insightful webinar series on HB 1605 and the new IMRA process, featuring district leaders, school principals, and teachers who’ve successfully adopted and implemented a high-quality instructional material (HQIM). 🎯📚 Our panelists shared their real-world experiences on the system-level changes necessary for success, and the crucial role that individual school leaders play in setting the tone on their campuses. From PLCs and internalization to deliberate practice and tight coaching cycles, these leaders have seen firsthand how these strategies help teachers find a better work-life balance while continuously raising the bar for student achievement. The results? Nimble and confident students leading rich discussions around math, consistent teaching practices across classrooms, and a stronger learning community. Plus, the support from Great Minds in PD, coaching, and strategic planning has been a game-changer. Missed the series? Don’t worry—catch the replays and discover how you can lead your district through this transformative journey. ➡️ https://lnkd.in/enf27zkJ #EducationLeadership #MathEducation #HQIM #TeacherSupport #GreatMinds

“Every year brings fresh opportunities to grow, learn, and make a difference in the lives of our students.” Superintendent Josh Porter and his dedicated team at Fort Dodge Community School District in Iowa are launching the school year with exciting new initiatives, and we’re thrilled to support them through the implementation of #WitandWisdom. This year, FDSCD is enhancing learning with their 95 Core Program to build foundational skills, Wit & Wisdom to deepen knowledge and critical thinking, and Character Strong to develop social-emotional skills. Their commitment to ensuring everyone matters, belongs, and thrives is truly inspiring. https://ow.ly/KMG250TmvAX
