Quick chat with.. Restaurant Waiter Michael Vilroy! Q: What do you think makes you unique as a team member? A: I can adapt to new tasks as well as help other team members if needed. Q: What's your favorite memory from working at the company? A: When I assisted a guest who lost his way in Passau and brought her back to the ship. Q: Describe a time when you went above and beyond to help a colleague. A: Last season we had a new waiter, and he had to be explained about working and functioning of the restaurant. I also had to assist him in the first few days along with doing my duties. Q: What would you like to learn or improve upon in the future? A: I entertain my guests with close-up magic tricks and would like to learn a few more tricks along with learning Spanish. Q: Do you follow any sports teams? Which ones? A: FC Goa! Football.

Quick chat with... Hotel Steward Administrator Tyson! Q: What inspired you to join the team here? A: I was inspired to join the team because I learnt that this is a small multinational team. This was my first ever cruise line company to work with, and I was warmly welcomed by the family. Q: What do you think is the most important skill that a successful professional need to have? A: Communication Skills, Teamwork and Self Motivation are some of the most important skills that successful professionals need to have. Q: What do you enjoy doing outside of work? A: Outside work hours I like Reading and exploring new places. Q: What's the best trip you've every been and why? A: My best trip until now has been a visit to the Griffin Vulture rescue center in Cres, Croatia. It has given me a whole new perspective about Vultures that we don’t know about. Q: How would your best friend describe you in three words? This year we celebrated Mother's Day on our ships to honor the fundamental role that mothers play in our lives. During the breakfast our Captains, Hotel Managers and Restaurant Managers welcomed the guests and handed red roses to all the ladies to assure they feel special and appreciated. Of course, we did not forget about our female crew members which got their roses as well. We hope everyone had a wonderful time!

Quick chat with... Cabin Attendant Mersiha! Q: What methods do you use to stay motivated and focused? A: The most important method to stay motivated and focused for me is when I have a specific goal to accomplish. Q: What's something that you've always wanted to try or learn? A: After the ocean liner experience I want to learn how to be a professional bartender and sommelier challenge. Q: When have you felt the proudest and why? A: I was most proud of myself in 2002 when I passed the state exam for police officer because I got the job I wanted on my 18 years and last year when I came to the company in GCCL and I spent three months at Harmony River as a housekeeper because it was a new riverside experience and a great challenge of mastering the speed and quality of work. Q: What is one thing you can't live without? A: My morning Turkish coffee (but on the ship my cappuccino). Q: Would you rather spend a night in the most luxurious hotel room that money can buy or a week at your favorite bed and breakfast? A: Outside of work I love to travel, do photography and paint... So this job gives me work even in resting hours. Q: What's the best trip you've ever been and why? A: The best trip was with my family, 10 days and 4 different countries, a lot of culture and good food. Q: How would your best friend describe you in three words?
