What an amazing few days it's been in Warsaw! As a Program Manager for the Growth Academy: AI for Cybersecurity, it's been incredibly rewarding to spend time with the founders from our second cohort here at our GFS Campus. We officially kicked off the program back in February at the Google Safety Engineering Center in Munich, and since then, each startup has been working closely with Google AI and Cybersecurity experts through personalized workshops and mentoring sessions. A huge shout-out to our incredible team of mentors and industry leaders who have dedicated their time and expertise to the program. Lior Shoham and Ofir Gal On your energy and capacity to improve founder's communication and presentation capabilities are enormous. Heather Adkins, Irenne Zbarsky, ☁️Pawel Wenda, Nikita Jain, Oliver Lane, Jorge Blanco Alcover and Assaf Shamia, you have been invaluable mentors and collaborators of the program by sharing your knowledge, guidance and support on industry trends and analysis, fundraising, team management, hiring, product management and GTM strategies. Your contributions have been instrumental in helping these startups grow and scale their businesses responsibly. A few key things from this week: 1. The community of #people we are building is the backbone of this our #cybersecurity programs 2. We are leveraging #AI technologies in the cybersecurity space to be faster and more efficient than bad actors 3. Collaboration between startups, corporations and government is key for building a secure digital future in this AI world To the graduating cohort: Alma Security, Authologic, BforeAI, Blacklight AI | OwlGaze, Cakewalk, Gomboc.ai, HACKERverse®, ETHIACK, Kriptos , LetsData, Nijta, Patchstack, Quantum Dice, ShareID, Talsec and Zepo, thank you! I spent 5 inspiring days with Google for Startups, filled with intense learning, creativity, and the joy of forming wonderful friendships :) Though I feel like I got a million insights from mentors and peers, here are my top four: 1. The future of design lies in understanding psychology: products must be empathetic and tap into the user's intrinsic motivators behind decision-making. 2. You can't launch an MVP anymore unless it can hold its own against the 50+ apps on a user's phone! 3. Have a clear vision for your V3 when you launch your V1. 4. Your team is NOT you - it’s essential to understand what drives each member to achieve the outcomes you seek :) A special shoutout to ProductivePlay.in for sparking better collaboration and innovation by bringing out our inner child with some #Lego✨ Check out the 20 startups in the cohort - https://lnkd.in/d-UmTGdK Amrit Sanjeev Vivian Gomes Sabina N B Anuj Rathi Adhirath Bali Nitin Prakash Akua Nyame-Mensah Sreeraman Thiagarajan Faiz Malkani Devina Kothari Marmik Mankodi Rivu Chakraborty Harmanpreet Singh Manit Kathuria Rahul Maroli Ammar J. I'm about to wrap up a fascinating few days at the Google for Startups campus in Warsaw as part of the 2024 AI for CyberSecurity cohort. And, oh boy, did I learn some new things! First and foremost - founder-to-founder is absolutely the best format for any startup to get additional insights on operations and execution in this market. Second, we got back with even more validation (yes, also from the depths of the Google Cloud experts) that our approach is not just unique but also simple and effective in solving one of the biggest pain points for any company deploying to the public cloud. Being able to provide value. Actual value (and not some marginal technocratic schtick). It puts security organizations back in the driver's seat of moving the needle on their cloud security posture. Seeing how the message resonates, that alerts don't cut it. That initially setting up services securely doesn't cut it, and is prone to security drift while often missing the overall architecture context. Cutting through inefficient processes and truly shifting left are the ways to go in this economy of doing more with less. I'm so proud of our existing customers for choosing us on their journey to secure clouds and of our future customers who are about to start their journey as they go through PoCs now (guess what—our PoC is about to change how PoCs in security are done in the coming weeks).
